Edward A. Baker Library
Edward A. Baker made Mashpee his permanent home after retirement, and lived there for over 20 years. In addition to pursuing his interests in nature, gardening, and his community, he served on many local committees; and he was president of the Mashpee Environmental Coalition (MEC) until his death in 2011. There are many who knew him as “The Mayor of the Mashpee River”. Both Mashpee and MEC are forever indebted to his efforts.
